Champion Interview

A conversation with Mintautas Sredersas

IASRE 2026 Champion.

“Precision. Skill. Patience. Champion!”

Where are you based?

I’m living in Lithuania, a small country in East Europe. But the last ~6 years I prefer to chase hail in Europe.

How long have you been working in PDR?

I started my career in 2008. At that time, PDR was quite a big secret in my country.

What do you enjoy most about PDR?

That there are no limits in this field. At the very beginning, PDR was about repairing small dents. Now technicians are fixing things that seem impossible at first glance.

What was the most challenging part of the IASRE Championship for you?

The biggest challenge was dealing with the internal stress. I never get nervous when a client is looking over my shoulder, but in a championship you have hundreds of professional eyes watching your every move and understanding the subtleties of your technique.

What did you enjoy most about the IASRE event?

This year I was pleasantly surprised by the impeccable organization of the event. Each championship participant had an assigned time and the event went exactly according to schedule, no annoying delays. Well done, guys!!!

What tool from your toolbox could you not live without?

All my tools in my toolbox are very important for me, but the cold glue (as a technique) was something so unexpected for me, and now it makes every job so much easier.

What advice would you give to new technicians?

Patience and the pursuit of perfection. Never give up. Dents don’t “pop out” on their own. Talent alone is not enough in this job. It is necessary to strive for perfection in every job, in every detail. No compromises.

What does winning the IASRE Championship title mean to you personally?

Winning such an important title gave me inner peace and more self-confidence, the realization that I am on the right path, both in my daily work and in my career.

Where can people follow your work?
Sometimes I post examples of my work on Instagram @autodent_lt
Also you can find me on Facebook as Mintautas Autodent, but mainly I use it for scrolling and entertainment, not for work.
